TomCruise.com and PPC
Published May 3rd, 2008 in Interesting SitesTomCruise.com has to be one of the worst AdWords SEM campaigns that simply throws money into the wind. Even at a penny a click, it is still a waste of money because all you will find is a countdown timer with no other information. If you search for the term “Tom Cruise DVD” it comes up first in the paid search column. That verifies, it must be paying a premium to anything related to the broad term Tom Cruise.

The agency handling this AdWords campaign could be really leading edge or don’t have a clue at managing a client’s best interest. Because this type of PPC advertising drives no conversions without any key performance indicators to back up the campaign since the website had no call of action.

Nothing special. TomCruise.com is just a bloated flash personal site. It took forever to load.
Lol, TomCruise.com can’t even rank for its term “Tom Cruise” naturally. What kind of crap shoot interactive strategy is that? At least work with a company that understands how to leverage interactive assets with search optimization. Shame on Tom Cruise and his marketing team.
