Subdomains and Search Engines
Published January 2nd, 2008 in Search ManipulationI had previously thought the subdomain issue was bad on Google from earlier assumptions. On selecting a keyword that a client had been trying to optimize for, the main branded site takes 3 out of the top 20 spots in Google.
Compared that to 5 out of 20 in Yahoo. And a disastrous sub domain spammed to death on MSN/Live with a 17 out of 20.
Not bad, Google seems to be fixing the sub domain results issue at a fairly rapid rate when the last count was at least 6 out of the 20 spots for my selected keyword.
