SEO Information is Now a Premium

There is a sense of further consolidation of SEO information into premium services as the field becomes more competitive with clients ready to through money at firms with proven results. Webuildpages led by Jim Boykins has stop offering their free seo tools, at least the ones that were useful. Now in order to use the tools, you have to pay $250 per month which also give you access to video presentations by search optimizers. Consider this seo suite similar to a top tier web analytics package which normally cost over forty thousand dollars for a yearly license.

This is a good move by existing seo professionals and seo firms to hoard as much information as possible to lessen the competition that can dominate natural search rankings on Google, Yahoo and MSN. I applaud this move which means more consulting assignments for highly qualified search professionals and firms. Natural search becomes easier for those who know how search engines index and rank websites for certain keywords, while those who are just getting into the seo field will have less free tools at their disposal and fail at seo efforts. In the end, those who can pay for premium services will start dominating natural search results.

In my opinion SEO information was always for those who known the field.
