Break Google Rules

The state of search continues to grow as more people venture onto the internet for thing they would normally associate with brick and mortar locations. Whatever you want to sell will be sold through various sales channels considering the internet casts such a wide net across a broad audience. PPC is the tool of any web advertiser with money to spend while SEO is for firms who choose to spend money wisely that have a more lasting effect and does not end when funds are depleted for whatever reason.

At the same time, those who fear the Google misinformation of what is considered over optimization will be left behind by those who learn to circumvent the rules a little or adjust accordingly.

An interesting article by Andy Beard strikes a cord in those who want a piece of the adverising pie that is Google. If you own a website, Google currently forbids the monetization through paid links. Andy proposed on blocking out Google altogether from his good paid reviews. This is an immediate win for Yahoo and MSN where they will index more solid content.

Unless Google stops this foolishness, they may face a backlash across the board once bloggers and publishers take notice of the win win situation propose by Andy Beard for advertisers who current live in fear of angrying Google by playing by the rules but losing lots of possible revenue dollars as a publisher. Blocking Google bot is a good plan because syndicated content is not viewed as paid reviews or bought links.

I applaud this ingenious strategy to stop Google from manipulating all the smaller publishers because Google understands that without new daily content, they can falter at the whim of organized bloggers that embrace Yahoo and MSN.
