PR7 link for $200
Published November 17th, 2007 in Directory TalkNot a bad price coming from a website that is “permanently linked from” techcrunch, mobilecrunch, and crunchgear. The website is http://www.crunchboard.com, for $200 you get a unique page url (mostly a php mod rewrite) with a do follow, a back link to your website (you can not choose keyword anchor), description text (up to 2000 characters?)
What I don’t like about the crunchboard link directory is that advertisers would expect more for paying $200 to get listed. Where you should be able to insert targeted keyword link anchors into the description text.
This is an example of the hypocrisy that independent directories face from search engines compared to other directory sites with bigger interlinked sites within the network will not get penalized. If you have money, and a bigger name with some corporate lawyers behind you then search engines will leave you alone so you can continue to sell links at two hundred dollars a pop without penalty.
