Phone for Blogging
Published February 3rd, 2007 in WordPressI am in search of a decent cell phone with blogging capabilities to pass time while traveling to and from work on public transportation. The phones I am considering are the LG enV and Motorola Q offered by my current plan Verizon Wireless. I have yet to test them out in the local Verizon retail stores, but it is something I have to do before making the purchase.
This weekend, I finally had the time to visit Verizon and tested a number of smart phones to see if it would be useful for blogging. I liked the keyword size of the LG enV but it was so ugly and the screen could have definitely been bigger where the phone designers grew lazy by throwing in speakers on both sides of the small screen.
In addition, I took an extensive test drive with the Motorola Q. While it is a great design, and reasonably priced at ninety nine dollars when purchasing a mobile service plan (or extending one in my case). I felt very constricted when trying to type with this smartphone’s tiny qwerty keypad.
Verizon also showcased a Blackberry next to these phones. I forget what model it was, and the keypad was probably twenty percent bigger than the Motorola Q with a body twice as thick as the M Q. Thus the size of the Blackberry made it less appealing.
I may just wait for the next generation of phones for blogging with only two functions that are purely for talk and typing without the extras such as cameras and speakers that take up unnecessary space.

I am currently memorized by the TMobile Sidekick series. It looks really well made, and there are a lot of fans who swear by it. Been tuning in Sidekick 3 ads more and more.
The only downside of the Side kick 3 phone is that only TMobile offers it.
