Hittail Review - Easily Find Long Tail Keywords
Published March 18th, 2007 in Interesting SitesFound a Web 2.0 application called Hittail to track the long tail and keywords from natural search that drive traffic to this blog. What makes Hittail so fascinating is that it takes away all the extra steps of analyzing web logs into a simple list of how people found your site on the web. When you log in, the data is always there updated by the minute. The installation process involves inserting one line of code into your web pages.
From the list of keywords that Hittail provides, you can easily begin to expand on articles related to the long tail terms or append additional written material to address the new found keywords of how your audience finds your site.
The Hittail review will be expanded once I start to use it more often in determining what articles to write about.
Update: I love the instant gratification Hittail manages to provide instead of having to diving deep into log analysis every time you have an urge to see how people found your site. It helps you expand on long tail keywords that you normally would not even think twice about.

I find it addictive too. Also I’m now getting hits from people searching for “hittail review” - just like you are
I’m selling the long tail keyword list for my site. Will be interesting to see if anyone bites.
Cheers,
Peter
