AdSense Image Ads vs Text Ads
Published February 4th, 2007 in AdvertisersEvery time I reloaded this blog, and the image ads provided by Google AdSense displayed an ad banner of the Intuit Tax Preparation program which had no relevance to whatsoever that was written in previous posts. So I figured maybe they have an abundance of high paying image ads inventory from Intuit, and decided to push it out to any AdSense publishers since the client had already paid for the CPM (cost per one thousand impressions) or budgeted for a high PPC. However, by Google displaying non relevant images ads work against this blog since it has nothing to do with taxes or tax returns for that matter.
If your blog is displaying low relevance Google image ads, you may want to default the .js script to display text only by changing google_ad_type parameter from the default “text_image” setting to “text”.

My site can display both, and the text ads are more worth to display.
