YouTube and Jackass
Published December 23rd, 2006 in Off TopicYouTube encourages Jackass behavior by featuring Christmas Tree Jump where an idiot vandalizes and destroys school property by jumping off the balcony on to the Christmas tree. This is exactly what the people who recorded the stunt wanted by uploading it to YouTube and got their fifteen minutes of fame. Some one will get seriously hurt by copying this stunt and trying to film it.
Now you can imagine a copycat making a jump from the fifth floor on to a bigger tree in the mall and go splat on to the concrete.

It’s just to browse a little bit more on YouTube, and you’ll find the reason of why I don’t really like my little sisters using YouTube. There are plenty of those vids, but they never tell what happened after that.
For example, there’s an old one where a guy makes some WWF-like movement to his friend from the roof of their house, just imagine: one of them made a hole on the ground with his head and the other one, you can clearly see how he injured the bottom of his spine, he won’t be running fast again.
Shame on this stuff…
I know exactly which video you are talking about. Both guys were screaming in agony after they landed and definitely broke some bones after trying the WWE jump. What people do not realize is that they are trained professionals with years of physical practice. There are a lot of kids and adults alike out there who have no common sense of safety.
