Sure, Marbury may be the only player on the Knicks team with the maximum contract; so I can imagine some locker-room conversations going like this: “Give me the ball. Do you have a max contract? No? Didn’t think so rookie.” That’s poison for you. Just because you make the max amount of dollars does not mean that you get the most plays designed for you. The Knicks is a team, and no one on the team is a franchise player yet. Get that into your head and stop the childish feuding in order for the Knicks to move on and start winning games.
