Selecting a WordPress Theme

Selected a very nice and simple theme by brajeshwar.com - I still need to customize it to fit in with the overall design of the directory as well. As you can see, it is starting to look like a nightmare already as there aren’t any real simple solutions if you are always looking for a customized look to differentiate yourself from the thousands of blogs and directories on the internet. So today, I am going to work on fixing the stylesheets pertaining to the headers and footers to make it match that of the directory. - Update, ended the use of the brajeshwar template because it was too hard to manipulate.

Revisited the WordPress theme center and selected K2 Beta Two r167 by Michael and Chris. I actually like it a lot more.  The theme is easier on the eyes and more fitting for the directory with minimal editing.

Now I realize how lacking my CSS skills are. Moving the logo into the right spot took forever because some elements of CSS are convoluted to me. If I was dealing with HTML tables instead of div tags, it would have been done a long time ago. However the beauty of CSS is that one change affects the whole site and turns the designer into a semi-coder by necessity.

Speaking of which, I need to find a spell checker for WordPress. The plugins I found had too much installation requirements, so I am going to hold off on that till later.
