KingoftheBill.com
Published November 20th, 2006 in AdvertisersIs King of the Bill the next milliondollarhomepage? The instant gratification of seeing your text link and banner after paying with Paypal is pretty nice even though the target audience from the forums may not be who my ad is targeting. It is a topsite concept, but instead of sending traffic in order to rank higher, you pay for the top link which is one dollar more than the previous advertiser. If you are looking for a nice text anchor link, get in early for a low price.

Kingofthebill is sure a great site with a great idea behind.
I have seen that many other sites are growing following it. For example you can see www.topofegold.com a similar system based on e-gold as payment method.
Who know how many other site will we see as these?
Good luck with your topofegold site, because it seem the novelty factor of KTB is wearing off. However, it is nice to see KTB make over five thousand dollars and still sell the script code to interested buyers.
There is a certain limit to how much a link is worth. At PR4, the highest paying customer is $103 dollars - probably five times over value with the novelty factor of the King of the Bill site. No link has been sold over a month. Unless the KOTB website can increase its pagerank a notch or two, it will not generate any future sales.
