I am very confused by what Liberman did in Conneticut. He did every thing to hold on to power by all means, even after he lost the Democrats primary earlier this year. In that state, it was really a Democrat fighting another Democrat. To the average voter, it is confusing as hell because of Liberman’s long term affiliation with the Democrats. When you go into the voting booth, and have choices of Lamont, Schlesinger, and Lieberman - who do you automatically associate with non-Republican? Obviously Lieberman because he was the vice presidental candidate in 2004.
