Iraq Body Count
Published October 19th, 2006 in Interesting SitesAs Americans, we are way too shelter by the censored media. On average, Americans care more about what’s happening in sporting events than what’s been going on in Iraq since our initial invasion on the premise of removing WMDs and preventing future occurences of another nine-eleven. The information about the Iraqi war is out there if you choose to seek it, and provides for a thought provoking outlook into why the situation is only getting worse.
- Iraq Body Count - civilian death count reported since the military occupation. If each of these deaths relate back to five Iraqis who can take up arms, the US military forces are potentially facing a force of at least two hundred thousand strong.
- Baghdad Burning - Girl blog from Iraq presents her view of the recent Lancet Journal concluding that six hundred thousand Iraqis killed due to the US military occupation. If you ever need to understand the complete invasion, a full reading starting from August 2003 to present is required.
American troops are not benefiting from the continued fighting, nor are the Iraqi people who bear the brunt of deaths. Seriously, our military invasion has killed a lot of civilians in a country that had nothing to do with nine-eleven. Then why are we still in Iraq? Oil, land grab, Bush buddy corporations, and Bush buddy officials.
